Terms & Conditions

 1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Repair Engines Ltd (“the Company”), including engine diagnostics, repair, reconditioning, rebuilding, and installation (“Services”).

By booking or using our services, you (“Customer”) agree to these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.


2. Deposits & Payments

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking

  • Remaining balance must be paid in full before collection

  • Payments are accepted via bank transfer only

  • Additional work or parts will be quoted separately and must be approved and paid in advance

  • Deposits, labour, and ordered parts are non-refundable


3. Quotes & Pricing

  • Initial quotes are based on non-invasive inspection

  • Final cost may change after dismantling and full inspection

  • Any additional work requires customer approval before proceeding


4. Remote Bookings

  • Quotes will be provided in writing (email/phone)

  • By paying a deposit, you waive your 14-day cancellation right

  • Customers are responsible for vehicle delivery unless agreed otherwise

  • Recovery services are third-party and not our responsibility


5. Work Scope & Approval

  • Additional faults will be communicated for approval

  • If no response within 24 hours, work may be paused

  • If declined, vehicle may be returned partially reassembled

  • Ancillary parts (turbo, injectors, etc.) are not included unless agreed


6. Completion Time

  • Typical timeframe: 7–14 working days

  • Delays caused by suppliers or external factors are not our liability


7. Vehicle Collection & Storage

  • Vehicles must be collected within 3 working days

  • Storage fee: £50 per day thereafter

  • Vehicles left beyond 15 days may be sold under UK law (with notice)


8. Warranty

  • 6-month warranty on reconditioned engine parts and labour

  • Warranty is non-transferable

Warranty becomes void if:

  • Engine is modified or remapped

  • Work is carried out by third parties

  • Maintenance instructions are ignored

  • Warranty claims must be submitted in writing

  • All warranty work must be carried out by us


9. Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing issues

  • Indirect losses (e.g. lost income, transport costs)

  • Customer-supplied parts

  • External components failing due to wear

We are only liable for direct damage caused by proven negligence.


10. Engine Condition & Parts

  • If engine block is damaged beyond repair, replacement may be required

  • Replacement parts may be used or reconditioned equivalents

  • All costs remain the responsibility of the Customer


11. Customer-Supplied Parts

  • Not accepted unless agreed

  • No warranty provided on such parts


12. Conduct

Abusive or threatening behaviour will result in:

  • Immediate service termination

  • Warranty cancellation


13. Vehicle Retention (Lien)

  • We retain the right to hold your vehicle until full payment is made

  • Vehicle will only be released after cleared payment


14. Diagnostics

  • Diagnostic fees are non-refundable

  • If no work proceeds, vehicle is returned as-is


15. Vehicle Condition & Belongings

  • Customers must remove valuables before leaving vehicle

  • We are not liable for personal items left inside

  • Only significant damage caused by negligence is covered


16. Insurance

  • Customer must maintain vehicle insurance

  • We are not liable for events beyond our control (fire, theft, etc.)


17. Workshop Access

  • No access to workshop without permission

  • Safety regulations must be followed at all times


18. Data Protection

We collect and use data for:

  • Service delivery

  • Communication

  • Warranty & legal compliance

All data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR.


19. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays due to:

  • Natural events

  • Supplier issues

  • Government actions

  • Unforeseen disruptions


20. Updates to Terms

  • Terms may be updated periodically

  • Latest version applies to all current and future work


21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
All disputes are subject to UK jurisdiction.

By booking, paying, or delivering a vehicle, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms.
